Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. Here's a little information about me...
I’m a former Operations Manager, Engineer, Safety Director, and Adjunct Professor. Today I’m the Music Director of "Music America" programming, produce a Blues radio show, and host a Country Music radio show for NYC area's WFDU (89.1FM / www.WFDU.fm). The FaceBook fan page for the radio show is: https://www.facebook.com/BigAppleCountry
I also host the Music Community at www.MakinMusicNetwork.com, and do consulting work.
While toiling in the corporate world & raising a family, I stayed connected to my love of music by performing in vocal groups & community theater. I became heavily involved as a supporter of live music upon retirement. This has taken me along an unanticipated path. It led to the creation of my music community and an association with WFDU. I have been at WFDU in different capacities for nearly two years. During this time I have met many talented & notable musicians.
My Favorite Music:
Format doesn’t matter to me. Music is either good or bad standing on its own, but I do favor music with meter and melody. I have very diverse musical tastes and listen to blues, jazz, classic rock, NOLA, Americana, country, and classical. I don’t consider myself an expert in any single genre, but rather an above average appreciator.
Education:
Wagner College - Staten Island, NY MBA - Business Administration - 2000; George Washington University - Washington, DC Master’s Certificate in Project Management 1999; Polytechnic University - Hawthorne, NY MS - Telecommunications & Computing Management 1995; CUNY - Bernard M Baruch College - New York, NY BBA - Human Resource Management / Psychology 1974.
